===================================================================
Source Tools Core 0.95c5
===================================================================
-----------------------------------
Tweaks
------------------------------------
- Initializing progress will be reported, so you can see where you crash, if you crash.
- Initializing process is faster.
- Pre-check verification attempts some fixes. It won't garantee to work for every case.

===================================================================
Item Tracker
===================================================================
- Email notification no longer requires an email account setup.
-- You need to register at http://tf2stats.net and copy the key in "User CP" to Source Tools' Basic Configuration section.
-- Your notifications will still fit the criteria you specified in Source Tools [such as how many drops before being notified].
- TF2stats.net will gather drop stats from Source Tools users.

Source Tools 0.95c4
April 8th Release

===================================================================
Source Tools Core 0.95c4
===================================================================

------------------------------------
Tweaks
------------------------------------
- Source Tools now in COLORS!!! Tell me if I'm overcompensating.
- Removed "wait.exe" and replaced with "ping".
- Added "Swiss File Knife" [sfk.exe] to the package of binaries.
--- http://stahlworks.com/dev/swiss-file-knife.html
--- It will allow me to do a lot of tweaking once I confirm it works for everyone.
- Added "testing" level 3 [testing=3] that will increase the amount of information by a lot for debugging.

===================================================================
Connection Manager
===================================================================
- Connected message will appear correctly [was bugged in c3].
- Recheck Status function is now properly synchronized so it doesn't occur when reconnecting [Fixed because of Drunken F00l *facerage*].
- Map check won't get confused when initiating a recheck status.
- If steam needs to be restarted, your game files will be verified. Source Tools waits 20 minutes for the process.
- The 20 minutes delay can be reduced, but it's not recommended as it will cause problems if Steam didn't finish.
--- You can test your delay by typing "steamcrash" in Source Tools.

===================================================================
Item Tracker
===================================================================
- TIM messages muted. Source Tools will give out its own messages.
-- Magenta = Hat Drop
-- Dark Cyan = Item Drop
- You'll be prompted to choose between SIM and TIM on the first launch of the profile.
- SIM now works with Steam beta, so it will be relaunched if it crashed while using Steam beta.
- SIM is no longer "read-only" by default, as there is no more stability issue.
- TIM recheck delay reduced to 1 minute [was 2 minutes].
- TIM now supposed for crash recovery.
- Item tracker credits will be displayed even after using "clear".

Source Tools 0.95c3

- Added Server Name to show in the SRCTools console [disabled by default, go to Add-On Manager, Basic Connection Manager settings]

------------------------------------
Bug Fixes
------------------------------------
- Fixed Player Count check
- Fixed Map check
- Two fixes above also fixed double disconnect message.

Source Tools 0.94a
December 22nd Release

Source Tools now uses 3 executables:

- Gnu SED [ Text editor much more efficient] Already has been used with Blacklist Live! Updater
- WIPFW [ Linux IP forwarding tool ported to Windows for Blacklisting with ports]
- CHOICE [ Original windows98 choice.exe. It doesn't come with Windows XP so I'm including it for compatibility across all platforms]

GnuSED allows Source Tools to process the console.log file much much faster, along with processing the Blacklist and other text strings with more flexibility. This will allow me to make Source Tools start logging much more information.

WIPFW is the new blacklisting tool. Previously, Source Tools could only blacklist servers with their IP only. Now, servers will be blocked based on IP:PORT, so you don't block other servers with the same IP address on a different port.

Choice.exe will mostly be used as a new delay system [timer to make Source Tools check some things every X seconds]
Previously only "ping" was used, but if the user lost the network connection, "ping" delay would stop working and Source Tools would use 100% CPU.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Small Changes:
--------------------------
- Custom Menu now includes all the original menu buttons ["except developer commentary" and "resume game"]. The menu will be automatically installed.

- Replaced "Flush Blacklist" in extra.bat with "Reset Settings". You reset to default the Source Tools configuration.

New Features:
--------------------------
- Blacklisting now supports ports. Currently only for the Blacklist Toggle button.
- SourceTools logs all relevant information of each server you connect to. The information is stored in \userfiles\serverinfo\serverip_port.txt
- Servers using Fake Player Count are recorded in their serverip_port.txt file.

Future Features:
--------------------------
- Automatic warning that a server is using:
* Fake player count
* Fast Respawn
* sv_allow_wait_command 0
* Other unwanted server settings
- Automatic Blacklisting of selected above server settings [only upon connection]

Bug Fix:
--------------------------
- Fixed enabling Dual Mode [it would get stuck once you answered yes]
- Fixed reserve backup [secondary backup] to be sent to the root drive.
- Fixed launching from Configure.bat - It would completely fail to launch the mode settings and sometimes break the CFG files and video config.
- Fixed Source Tools jamming if HL2.exe failed to launch. Now resumes after 60 seconds.
- Fixed information commands [cfglist, cfgprint, demlist, etc] from printing out all previous commands as well.
- Fixed Connection Manager reconnecting to the first server twice before moving on to the second.

Under the hood:
--------------------------
- Now use gnused [sed.exe] as text parser for several parts of Source Tools. [and the future features]
- Now use WIPFW [ Windows port of Linux ipforward firewall] to blacklist servers.
- Improved trigger action efficiency for performance.
- Improved trigger detection efficiency for performance.

Broken Features [temporary]
--------------------------
- Blacklist Toggle MIGHT be broken, so don't use it until Source Tools 0.94b
- Connection log doesnt work for now.

- Added support for external add-ons. Blacklist Live! Updater and Connection Manager are the first add-on created.
- Crashcheck's timer can be set by the user [in minutes]
- Added Command queuing. Simultaneous events will be processed instead only processing the last event.
- Improved crash proofing. Source Tools will continue to function after hitting a bug.

- Fixed shortcut creation
- Fixed mode switching [again]
- Fixed mode files being misplaced or destroyed
- Fixed GET/STORE CFG error messages
- Fixed Crashcheck for Connection Manager
- Fixed remote demo file storage not working.
- Fixed random crash after closing Source Tools.
- Fixed non-dualmode users to not be able to use Source Tools at all.

There's a wiki for how to use the tools [except no information about the secret mode 2 obviously]

Important things to know about Idling
1. SLEEP MODE IS BAD, don't put your PC in sleep mode, you'll be instantly not idling anymore. Okay?!
2. No you don't need to join a team.
3. No you don't need to join a class.
4. No shut up, you don't need to do anything once you're connected.
5. There are ways to configure source tools to auto-join a team/class, but damn it, I don't approve of it.

Important things to know about Source Tools *
1. Your server list file is in userfiles\serverlist\servers.txt
2. Do not add idling servers that have disabled the wait command [Source Tools will remove them]
3. You MUST exist Source Tools by typing "exit" in the Source Tools console [or else!]
4. There are TONS AND TONS of tweaks and options to toy with. Explore SourceTools.bat profile configuration. Don't be afraid.
5. For the love of Idling, please make your own server list. Here is a huge list of suitable idling servers
6. NO! There isn't a way to detect if you lost connection to Steam Cloud for the backpack

Basic Troubleshooting

BEEP BEEP BEEP!!! wtf is this beeping?
Reason - Textmode makes your PC beep when unicode characters appear in the console.
Solution - Launch SourceTools.bat, and select option 3 [Extra tools]. Then select enable/disable beep sound. Follow the instructions

Source Tools says it won't start because a program is blocked.
Reason - Source Tools runs a view tests to make sure every executables it needs are functional.
Solution - Try running Source Tools in administrator, or find the missing program.

TF2 now starts in windowed mode when I want to play!
Reason - Source Tools sets TF2 to windowed mode so launching it in textmode won't cause a fullscreen popup.
Solution - Add "-fullscreen" to your launch options in Steam.

I want to run it on my shitty laptop, but TF2 keeps crashing
Reason - While textmode doesn't render graphics, TF2 still checks for DirectX 8+ support. A shitty computer may not have the proper hardware to satisfy TF2.
Solution - Go in the profile configuration, select add-on manager, go in basic connection manager settings and turn on "Remove need for DirectX support"

Steam says it's preparing to launch TF2... but nothing else happens.
Reason - Shitty computer, things happened too fast.
Solution - Go in profile configuration [sourcetools.bat] and select SRCTOOLS CORE CONFIG. You'll have the option to delay launching HL2.exe by X seconds. Set it to ... uhh 5

Shit I lost EZ-Spectate.bat?!
Reason - EZ-SPECTATE.bat self-deletes the first time you launch it and is replaced by a windows shortcut.
Solution - If you lost the shortcut, launch SourceTools.bat, select Profile Configuration, Select ez-specate, then you'll see at the bottom an option to create a new shortcut.

I fucked up my ez-specate settings and I want the defaults back.
Reason - You fucked up.
Solution - Delete the file userfiles\profiles\ez-spectate.ini and the folder userfiles\profiles\ez-spectate\
Then relaunch with the ez-spectate shortcut. You deleted it too? Redownload sourcetools and extract only ez-spectate.bat.

ERROR MESSAGE - No CFG TAG present OR something about CFG files conflict
Reason - You have tried to use a pre-0.95 version of Source Tools and gave up. Now some settings lingered in your registry.
Solution - Once you've made sure your TF2 settings are fine for playing, open cmd.exe and copy/paste the following command: reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SourceTools /f

TF2 starts, but then nothing happens
Reason - Either your autoexec.cfg or launch options are conflicting with Source Tool's CFG files.
Solution - Rename autoexec.cfg to autoexec2.cfg and remove your launch options from Steam [make a TF2 desktop shortcut and put them in there, along with +exec autoexec2.cfg]

The Source Tools window title keeps switching from SRCTools to TF2 Item Monitor
Reason - You have selected TF2 Item Monitor as your item tracker, but your steam profile is set as private.
Solution - Go in profile configuration, add-on manager section, item tracker options, and select Steam Item Manager as tracker instead of TF2 Item Monitor.

My graphics are fucked!
Reason - You're an idiot. Since 0.95a, Source Tools doesn't touch video settings.
Solution - Launch SourceTools.bat and select extra tools. You'll see the first option is to completel nuke TF2's settings to default. You can begin reconstruction from there. At least you weren't dumb enough to uninstall TF2 and redownload it.... right?

Reason2 - You select to run with "-noshaderapi" option. Source Tools attempts to restore your video settings, but if you closed Source Tools before TF2 connected to a server, you're Shit Out of Luck. The risks were explained in the options.

OMG WTF IT'S STEAMSTATS
Reason - It's not.
Solution - No.

Why don't you people just play the damn game?
Reason - We're sleeping/working.
Solution - Never sleep/work?
